I have the professional for my Weber Genesis. I would caution you against getting the Original for your PK360. The reason is that you will set the Little Griddle on top of your cooking grate, which will extend the little griddle cooking surface from your charcoal. I take out the cooking grates in my Gensis and set the little griddle on top of the flavorizer bars. Thus I get good conductivity. When I put the little griddle on top of the cooking grates, I could not get the griddle hot enough.
PK does make a griddle for the PK360, which I have and I used it once. Yes, grease collection is a bit of a hassle.
Made Philly Cheesesteak on the stovetop griddle and although it worked, food kept falling off the sides. This fast became justification for a father's day gift of a pk360 griddle plate. I was wondering how I was going to get me one...mission accomplished.
Ok. - I just checked and it looks like this is what they sell now. I swear a couple years ago they had some kind of carbon steel griddle that was available with one side slotted or not, for letting the fire breath. Now it looks like porcelain coated cast iron, like what Weber uses.
Please let us know your opinion of the new griddle after you use it a bit. I’m a new PK 360 owner (thanks to the great giveaway here) and would like to start accessorizing it soon.
Considering buying one of these (https://www.kickashbasket.com/KAB-Divider-for-PK360-Grill-Smoker_p_57.html) for my PK360.
I have the stock accessory charcoal basket from PK and it doesn't work that well, even with additional holes drilled in it. I also have a custom basket made out of stainless hardware cloth and it is just
Lynn - been a PK360 owner since they came out. The griddle is not worth it in my opinion. Used it once and it's ok. Again, my opinion, but would not get the KA basket either. Just use a brick or a wood split as a divider. But I would get a Santa Maria attachment (not made by PK grills), unless you already have a SM grill.
TripleB Thank you! That’s exactly the kind of feed back I need. I have cast iron griddles for other grills that work fine, but I don’t use them often since I have the Chud press. I thought the same thing about the KA basket after a couple of youtube videos. I’ve wanted to get a few fire bricks anyway. They are multi-taskers. The Santa Maria attachment has my interest. I don’t own anything like that.
I ended up buying the smokeshop ash basket with the added snake Dividers. It's a bit heavy, but it's holding up well. The KA basket sounds great but I really wanted the snake dividers.
