PK360 Temp Probe Port?

My P360 arrived today and of course I had to assemble it immediately.

I've never seen this port before, and there's no explanation of it in the manual. Have the PK folks innovated?

Not having owned a PK, I’d say they’re for your temp probe cables. Does it slide around so you can close them off? It looks like it should.

That's what it is. MY 2 year old 360 doesn't have it. Not crazy about it being in the back of the shell though. Not convenient for my set-up. To those of you who drilled your own, where were the holes, how easy was it, and did you bother to cover the hole when not using? Thanks.

Yeah, that looks like my temp probe port on the PK300.

Wow, that’s a significant development for the PK360, and long overdue. I’ve always wondered why they hadn’t made that improvement to their flagship product when it was a feature on the PK300 and PKGO for years now. Great to see, and congrats on your new 360! Now I really can’t wait to win first prize on a monthly drawing so I can get one.

My 360 is several years old and does not have it. Good improvement.

Yes, as others stated. It is a probe port. I got a PK360 when they first came out and thought the same thing that it should have a probe port. So I drilled a hole in my PK360 for my probes. Easy easy since the PK is aluminum.

Now I'm jealous. Just got mine as well, but no port. Course mine was clearance so I guess it's pre-port? Is the rotating part completely external? Be nice if pk would sell a retrofit kit!

Easy to drill, I added a temp gauge to mine.
