    PK TX

I’m struggling trying to say no to the 20% off. Is there any hate for this?

If you are asking this group of enablers, you gotta know the answer Richard.

@IFZBC: This made me laugh out loud--for nearly an entire minute!

I think unless you’re looking for the portability that I might go for the PK300 for the same price. I like the vents a little better.

Well if portability is king then the TX is probably your ticket, vents be damned. A talented fella such as yourself won’t be beaten by no stinkin’ vents anyways Richard Chrz

I’m just about to pull the trigger on a New Oroginal PK 300. Not as portable as the TX, but it has wheels, and the capsule lifts off for transport. I like the big side shelf and the bottom shelf. The vents are much improved over the older model.

I’ve been in their site a bit this morning. I think the 300 is the better option by far. Reading about kind of made the decision to not get the TX, likely not any of them at this time. 20 percent sale is really nice though.

I say go for it! MCS looks like it had gotten to you already

I'd love one in red. Plus I think they are still made here in the USA not China like the 300 and 360. $479 delivered, Good deal. They are very nice cookers if you're looking for something on the small/medium size.

I’ve had the PK TX for about 2 years. Love that little bugger! However I recently sold it and bought the PK 300. I’m a big fan of PK in general, and think the PK 300 is an improvement. Much better vents, the whole thing just feels like it has more finesse. The temp probe hole is nice too, and the ash covers for the bottom vents. But the stand with the bigger shelf is the real win. No, it can’t be folded like the legs/stand for the PK TX, but everything else is better.

if I were you I would skip the 20% deal.

I was really surprised by lack of thought on the simple idea of a probe hole, on the TX. I’ve moved myself out of this purchase until I can get my hands on them in person. The 300 seems to be far better thought out then the TX, even if it is not as portable.

Gotta say a PK is on the short list. If I win the monthly there is no question it is the PK.

        Hope I helped Richard !!

Same here. I’ve just decided it is lower in my want and truly beneficial cooker to me. PK 360 is on the list, just below a nice Santa Maria table, Weber kamado with table, LSG cabinet, etc.. The 360 would be my pick as well. I got thrown off yesterday, my wife actually suggested with the discount she got in her email, that I should consider getting one. I was not prepared to have that freedom. Lol! Had she said get the table or Weber kamado, it would have been click, purchased. Ha!

I have the PK Original and PK360. They are my favorite grills and I keep up with what they're doing. Bought the TX folding stand, Tailgate stand, PK360 griddle, etc. However, I do not understand why they put out the PKGO when Original PK on top of the tailgate stand accomplishes basically the same thing. Also, the TX folding stand is superior to the original stand model that comes with the PK300. Head scratcher to me as to why they did not employ the Tx folding stand concept to the new PK300. Maybe the TX folding stand will fit the PK300.

I don't have a PK300, but I like the intake vents, probe access door and they've pre-drilled the thermometer hole for you (though it is aluminum and pretty easy to drill through. I put a probe hole in my PK360). Get the Tel-Tru thermometer if you get the PK300. On my PK360 and Original PK (I drilled the hole and installed a Tel-Tru thermometer) the Tel-Tru is spot on when I checked it against my Thermoworks 2-channel alarm thermometer.

PKGO with flipkit fully packed with a bag of charcoal inside it is pretty dang handy for a tailgate or RV/camper, but yeah the PK TX makes more sense in most cases.

ItsAllGoneToTheDogs - I agree that the PKGO is handy, but if I had the PK TX all I’d need to buy is the tailgate stand and I have a bigger PKGO.

TripleB the flip kit is the killer feature for the go though. Obviously, it's not as versatile with that grilling space since you don't have a lid in flip mode, but it's fine for burgers, dogs, chicken, or skewers which is what most people are cooking in a to go situation. But yeah if you had a PK already the Go might not make much sense.
