Well, it was a tough one, but at least I tried. To my defense, I sold my PK TX to a friend 3 days ago, which means I was one smoker "short" for several days (!). That must account for something, right? I went to the store in Stockholm (Sweden) this morning, and left with a brand spanking new PK300.
So about an hour ago I had to do the chore of unboxing, and assembling the thing (poor me...)
Instructions were very clear, everything went super smooth, and 15 minutes later it was all done. All in all a very pleasant and professional experience. And it's so shiny and clean!
I figure the first cook must be ribs (right FireMan?), so I scored two full slabs of Iberico Ribs, 'cause that is just about the best ribs one can get. Worthy of the inaugural cook in the PK.
So, what do I like the best so far? Well, the taller working height is nice. So is the large wheels, and the foldable side table. Very convenient. And I really do like the new radial vents. They feel 100 times better than the old flimsical linear ones. And there are now probe holes on the side, which is good.
So, I'll do an initial burn-in tomorrow, and then I'll do the first cook on it. Just wanted to report back to the estemed Pit that I tried, but facing a bout with MCS sure ain't easy.
