    PK Vortex

I don't have a PK but this looks like a great idea and it sounds like it works well from the comments. A stainless steel drywall mudpan is used as the vortex replacement.

Very cool. The Vortex for the Kettle is really fun to use.

Hey, I like that. Did they drill holes in the bottom of the mud pan? I wonder if a bread pan would do the same? I have an old bread pan that I use to hold BBQ tools under my Jambo.

It fits. I drilled some holes in the bread pan. We'll see how well it works. I now have chicken wings on the menu for next week.

I went back and looked, it didn't have a bottom. I added a pic. Nice set up!

Hmm. To get a vortex effect you need the bottom open and good airflow into the basket.

did they cut out the bottom?

I just put a chimney of charcoal on the right and cook the wings on the left. Wonderful wings cooked at 300-325 F. PK360 is the master of chicken cooks!
