Thinking about the Meadow Creek PR36 as an upgrade to my Weber for all-purposes. The Weber works great, but is challenging for more than 2 or 3 racks of ribs, especially larger ones like St Louis. I was looking at the Smoke EZ but they are out of production for the next 6-12 months.

Looks like a nice little rig, perhaps Max Good knows something about these. A Weber 26 might fit your needs for a bit less, including the addition of the SnS. Have you thought about getting rib racks?

The Meadow Creek PR 36 cooking grate is 15" x 35", providing plenty of capacity for full slabs and even a small pig.It is a versatile smoker/grill that is very well made. Sounds like you have a 22" Weber Kettle? Rib racks will help extend capacity. Just be sure there is at least an inch breathing room between the slabs.

Are there more pictures? I am having trouble picturing how the trough, charcoal tray, and divider work with each other. It sounds like the tray is solid, since you can fill it with water? So how does air flow through it to keep the charcoal burning? And is there a way to add fuel during a cook (e.g. hinged grate)?Last edited by Green Caribou; September 4, 2018, 11:23 AM.

If you want rib capacity the pk360 is not what you are after. I can jam in about the same as the 22†kettle (three racks cut and tight requiring a rotation halfway through the cook).

Polarbear777 That's pretty much the conclusion I came to.

The tray is solid. There is a gap between the tray and the sides of the firebox so heat and smoke flow up from the charcoal tray all the way around. The grate is not hinged. Our friends at Big Poppa Smokers are Meadow Creek dealers. I'm sure they'd love to speak with you about the PR36. 877-828-0727Last edited by Max Good; September 6, 2018, 07:50 AM.
