Reminds me of the 'tired' old jokes my dad ALWAYS used as we drove past a graveyard:
        a. most popular neighborhood in town; folks are dying to get in there!
        b. quietest neighborhood in town; the folks on that side of the street (pointing to graveyard) don't talk to the folks on the other side.

I feared I might end up in one sooner than expected when we got the quote from the contractor.

I saw this elsewhere. I was relieved to find out that caskets are made of steel now instead of wood.

No, it's sick. Maybe because I'm getting older and don't need to think about that when I'm outside enjoying my grilling.

I once was contemplating starting a mortuary business near a well known ski resort. I thought that it would be neat to have the final ceremony be held on the slopes with a string of ski bums carrying torches while the decedent's remains would have been spread on the mountainside during the decent. The tag line would have been "We put the fun in funeral". My bride thought it was a terrible idea..................where's the imagination in that. This would have been an additional offering with double benefits for the widow. She wouldn't have to figure out how to get rid of the old man's junk left behind.
