    Texas deputies arrest intoxicated driver for driving with lit BBQ pit

    HARRIS COUNTY - Harris County Sheriff's Office arrested a man after it was discovered that he was driving under the influence with a lit BBQ pit in the bed of his truck creating a large fire.

    Deputies responded to the 21400 block of Aldine Westfield Rd. in reference to reports of a truck on fire on Jan. 5.

    Jay Rojas,40, was identified as the driver and displayed signs of intoxication, according to deputies.


    A Standardized Field Sobriety Test was conducted in which Rojas failed. Deputies discovered he was also in possession of cocaine.

    "Jay Rojas was arrested and booked in the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of a Controlled Substance. His bond and court information have not been set at this time," Constable Mark Herman said.

        I knew a guy who did that. He was obviously lit (he and the pit) and feeding the local cops BBQ in the wolly world parking lot.

          We've all been there, lite the fire, goes out, lite the fire, goes out.
          Battery on his leaf blower musta been dead.
          Stubborn fire + bourbon + pick up truck = DUI

            If he was sober, would he have still gotten a ticket for a lit pit? Presuming little or no danger of starting forest or brush fires.
