Looks not bad at all. If I had to guess it would be priced at around $650.

Well, I guess their text system lost my number, but I did find the switch and ordered one as a backup Max Good in case any of them fail in the future.

Agreed. I have been willing to give some leeway to companies struggling, but it's almost a year now with COVID-19, and they have to be able to pivot a bit better than that.
I have to imagine Polarbear777 is even more ticked given his more extensive efforts to reach out to them.

I get not being able to answer a phone but not email or online dialog? After a year they can’t figure out how to answer email from home.
I guess I could use the link to buy switches outright, but since I don’t need them to run it I probably won’t.

FWIW, I bought my 1050 in June, 2020. I registered it for warranty on 12/01/20. I also entered a warranty claim for two switches on 12/01/20. Got a reply on 12/04/20 saying the switches would be on the way soon, and in about two weeks they arrived.
Maybe I was just lucky for once...

Hey Folks
New to this site. Thank you for having me :-)
I just purchased the Gravity 800 and should be arriving tomorrow.
The question I have is around the manifolds. From what i understand, to use the griddle, you must remove the manifold that is installed by default and replace it with the one that is for use with the griddle. Looks like this allows for direct heating of the griddle. As I am writing this, I think i am answering my own question. But I also assume that i cannot use the griddle manifold for grilling food with the grill grates. Am I correct? Probably because drippings will get into the manifold opening.
I was thinking that perhaps that I can grill (not smoke) more effectively with grill grates over direct, unimpeded heating.
Thank you for your time,
Joe

If you are thinking of searing steaks then I think either combo of griddle manifold and griddle and grill grates and OG manifold would work fine. I’d agree that mixing the two would lead to subpar results.
As to which process yields better results, well, you will just have to try both and let us know!
