My new grill is rusting already

No. I read to let it get to the color I want then season it.
So probably never.

Duanessmokedmeats I never sealed mine, the changes are minor to the camera but I notice and enjoy the subtle change each week.

That seems unusual. We've had Hasty Bakes for years and haven't experienced excessive rust. Contact the manufacturer.

What Is Corten Steel?

Corten Steel (sometimes known as weathered steel) is a group of steel alloys that are often used in outdoor construction. Corten Steel was designed to eliminate the need for painting and if left outside, exposed to the elements, they will develop a rusted appearance in just a few months.

At first, I thought, "'No way I would get something that gets rusty on purpose." Later, I thought, "...better that than a cooker that rusts and shouldn't." I am on board with the corten steel. I like things that are expected to have a patina anyway.
