I was sitting on the couch anxiously waiting for my HB. @945am I heard a truck slowly coming down my street. A Fed-Ex truck stopped across the street. The deliveryman brought my HB off the ramp and brought it to my backyard. I didn't get any pics of it coming off the truck. I found out he is a dabbler in smoking, and I was telling him about our site and the great bunch of people on there that are always willing to help, without judgement.
I unpacked it and put in the handle, then up the ramps to my deck then onto my smoking patio. I put it together, then did a burn out with a half a chimney of lit charcoals. With the vents wide open and 45 minutes later it is at 380 degrees. I plan on putting a gasket on the firedoor, since it leaks a little.
This is one solid built smoker/grill/baker/searer. It was packed very sturdy. They take great pains to make sure it is firmly secure on the pallet.
I was truly Blessed to win this.
