PBC MCS Trouble

So I was in my local Ace hardware store this afternoon when what did I see. A brand spanking new PBC whispering "yo, dude, I belong in the back of your truck". This is not good. As long as I had to order one, I was able to hold onto my self control. Now they are a few miles from me. I left without it, but I can still hear it calling me. I need help, I can hear the chant: pbc, pbc...

Allow me to be the voice of reason here. What you don't need is two PBCs. One PBC is a perfectly logical purchase to make. Make sense? Now you can explain this to your wife, and you can sleep well at night with this new perspective. You're welcome!

This is exactly why I try to avoid these stores, each of which have over 150 cookers assembled and on display. I like cookers, and I suffer from MCS but I like being married a little bit better. :-)

I love my PBJr., but if I had it to do over I'd just spend the extra $60 on the big guy and skip the ash pan to start.

mnavarre. Do you like the Jr. for small cooks? I'm wanting one to complete the collection, sometimes it's just me and one kid or just me and the wife.

It's usually just me & the wife, so capacity isn't an issue, but when you want to use the grate things get tight quickly. With the hinged gate you can get two racks of spares hung and it's tight, a whole chicken might not fit. Want to finish a wrapped packer brisket on the grate? Ain't gonna happen.

As far as saving charcoal, it takes about half a chimney less than the big one, so it's not that much of a savings.

Go to breakfast,,,early,,,guy thing,,,,take a stroll in the the pickup and buy the PBC and tell the sweatheart how much money you saved cuz you didn’t have to fly to Boston just the to see how good it is !!!
