    When you start using some of your smoked meat leftovers in nachos, meat marinara sauce, chili, etc. (as jfmorris suggests) you'll get the freezer inventory back under control, hubmacfan .

    It's good to hear that you're enjoying cooking on your new PBC so much. It's such a fun cooker.

    I agree with RonB , smoke some chicken and Italian sausage a la this post . Not many leftovers in a one chicken meal for 3, and any leftover sausage is great in marinara sauce or sausage rolls.

    Oops, as I posted this, I saw that you and I were posting at the same time. Good to know you're on the PBC Chicken Train. It's a delicious place to be.

      Here in East Central Florida, a deep freeze is essential for hurricane planning. Leftovers stay in the kitchen freezer, supplies stay in the garage deep freeze.

        I put cooked stuff in the freezer for later. But the funny thing is that I always want to smoke or grill something "later"! So more goes in the freezer for later. I feel ya pangs!

          Along these lines, can you freeze uncooked brisket?
          I wasn't sure, so thought I would ask here.
