    Skewer Hanging System

Although I have moded the PBC to use 3 grates at once, I actually needed to smoke more wings than would fit and I didn't want to do multiple smokes before the game. (Super Bowl) Anyway, I figured a way to do that would be to skewer the wings and hang them rather than lay them flat on the grate. I came up with a skewer ladder (pictured) for about $8 by cutting some slots in a "Custom L-Shaped Channel" from Home Depot.
I'll post pics of the smoke if it's successful and works as easily as I hope it does. One thing that might get tricky is that the ladders are just hanging and not as stable as I'd like. Perhaps the weight of the wings will solve the problem and there will be no problem. We'll see.
    So here are the pics:

If I can get 8 wings per skewer (4 in the middle and two on either end) I could hang 32 wings per rack. If I can get 3 racks in there I will be able to hang 108 whole wings per smoke!
    Tomorrow we'll know the answer!

Awesome! It's like the salmon ladder bars they use on American Ninja Warrior! I'll be interested in hearing how loading/unloading goes, with three sets in there. Seems like it might be a tight fit once the first set goes in...

That looks really cool. You might consider safety wiring those ladders to the rebar to minimize the chance of the whole thing collapsing into the fire when you start pulling the wing kebabs.

Yeah, I hear you. Stability is a bit lacking here. Hopefully I can navigate those waters to a successful result for this proof of concept!
