Has anyone tried FOGO lump in their PBC? Yay or nay?

    #2
I have not, but lump works great in the PBC.

Noah from PBC said that he uses lump almost exclusively in the PBC.

I’ve tried most. A basket full of B&B Char logs give me 24 + hours at 225F in the PBC.

The Char Logs do not burn too hot in PBC? Mine settles in around 275 degrees with KBB.

webwolff char logs do not burn hotter, if anything they burn a bit less hot but for much longer.

I have FOGO lump. I have not tried it in the PBC because I’ve gotten such solid predictable use with B&B briquettes. Maybe I should try it once to see how it compares.

Red Man What method of setting up the char logs in the basket do you use? All dumped in randomly, stacked a certain way, etc. A charcoal that burns cooler rather than hotter for my PBC would be desirable to me. I look forward to your detailed answer.....also the long burn time is intriguing.

Alabama Smoke I stand all the char logs up (with the hollow center vertical). Then dump the lit briquettes on top.
