Options for adding a Fireboard blower to a Bronco and existing Fireboard 2

I did read the "blower" thread from a few years ago but could to get a clear answer. and things might have changed since then.

I do realize the Bronco is pretty stable. My reason for wanting one is for when I'm away from the house controlled blower allows me to set it and not worry about any big changes.

I can't figure out if Fireboard has any adapters for the Bronco. I looked and I don't see one. And I asked them and they sent me the list of smokers that work with their adapters but I did not see the bronco on the list. I think there might be an adapter on Etsy but not sure if its for real.

Or should I be looking towards BBQ Guru and viper fan and adapter?

So just checking in with the pit bosses here to see if anyone has some suggestions.

I’ve been thinking along the same lines.

I run a Pit Viper fan on my Bronco Pro with the Fireboard. The first adapter I ordered from BBQ Guru was way too big for the intake and just wasn't going to work. I emailed customer service and this is what they did for me:

This one is perfect for both the Bronco Pro's intake pipe and the Pit Viper. I can't find it on the website, so you may just have to contact customer service to ask. Or just go to Lowes or HD and buy the pieces described above. BBQ Guru's has a nice smooth finish on it, though.

There is a guy on facebook that 3d prints adapters for the Bronco/BroncoPro for any fan/blower. EZ BBQ Solutions. I have ordered one for each Bronco/BroncoPro using a Thermoworks Billows fan. He was responsive, shipped them really quickly, and they fit perfectly.

Thanks for mentioning this. I read about him on maybe it was reddit. I'll see if he will ship to the great white north.

Does the vent cover need to be removed from the intake pipe on the Bronco? and if so, how does that come off?

It does have to come off on mine, but all that is holding it on is small nut that is only hand tight.

I can't reach that guy now. Emailed, phoned, and message on facebook and he's a ghost. Need to find another option. If you know if one more, please let me know.

As a point of reference, the Pit Boss Vipers work perfectly. They’ve been around a while, you might be able to find one used.

            Edit: Pit BULL Vipers.

I would have to buy a new one and it looks like they are still available new. and I would need an adapter. Looks like BBQ Guru has a drum smoker adapter now but not sure if it would work. I'm also not sure how the Viper connects and work with the Fireboard G3 fan. Does it just connect to the Drive 2 fireboard controller just like a fireboard G3 fan does?

I found that one too, but Etsy was not cooperating for me probably because I'm located in Canada. It won't ship up here so I'll look in to getting a family member in the US to order it for me. I also have to contend with an ongoing Canadian postal strike and the tariffs too. Buying from the US is not simple these days! I'll have similar issues with the viper if I go that route.

Maybe you can buy a winter home in Babb, MT, go south for the winter, and have all your US based mail delivered there...

This is the adapter I ordered the first time. The Pit Viper will fit into it, but the adapter itself is way too big for where it would attach to the Bronco intake.
