    Bronco Cover Letting in Water

I have the cover for the OJB and it is letting in a little water near the exhaust pipe every time it rains. I suspect it is because of the seams in the cover. Does anyone else have that problem?

I don’t have a cover for mine, it’s kept in the garage…..but, I’d contact the seller for a replacement. Seams or not, it shouldn’t leak. It’s pretty much brand new isn’t it?

Seams are bad for this. If they replace it and it continues you might want to get a seam treatment kit they use for tents.

My cover lasted for about 20 months before the same thing started happening. I had to treat a couple rust spots that were starting to form. Nothing big but it was starting.

We used a seam sealer on the troop's tents. Something like this. KIWI Camp Dry Heavy Duty Water Repellant, 10.5 oz - Walmart.com

Flex seal spray can or the brush-on.

Just checked mine, the mounting plate for the exhaust sits on top of the top cover, not poking through from underneath. Yours looks like it would create a spot for water to accumulate and seep through. Sorry no pic.

Not sure if it makes a functional difference but his is installed as designed, yours is not.

I just returned it and can now order a replacement with the gift card I got from the return. Do any of you leave the Bronco uncovered? Would In be opening myself up to major rust problems? My Weber has been left uncovered for at least 4 years and I’ve had no problems.

I keep a cover on both my Bronco and Kettle. I will check on any leaks on the Bronco tomorrow after the forecasted rains tonight. BTW, both covers are OEM.

I keep all my equipment covered finding a way to protect the item as well as finding a way to protect the covers. In your case I would find a large tumbler plastic cup and just place it over the vent to support the cover from damage. Protecting your equipment from all elements will just give the equipment a longer life.
