    Mild case of MCS..

Had a very mild case of MCS over the weekend. Removed the handle on the Bronco, and replaced it with a 2nd shelf for less than $20...
looking forward to having extra work space.
Cover is a little snug, but still fits... Click image for larger version

Do you feel like you are bending the extra shelf when you use it to move? That would be my concern with my Pro.

No experience with the Pro but with the regular Bronco I grab the shelf close to the body of the smoker, not the far edge, when moving.

Not sure. I haven't moved it since I put it in that spot...

That is the first mod I did to my Bronco.

      On a scale of 1 to 10 I rate that as a 4.2. Effort & results, a solid 10!

        That’s not MCS….that’s increasing functionality!

        yep…..I believe it is!

now, go buy something to scratch that itch!

          Twin smokers operate much better.

Something to do with cross-pollination, I believe.

Another benefit of the Bronco when comparing small drum smokers, the versatility and convenience features are readily adaptable and modestly priced.

I want to do this with my Bronco. I also want to add a second grate to the mix!

            Fixed the tight cover problem.
Replaced the standard screws holding the shelf on with finger screws. Now it's much easier to attach the shelf as needed, and remove it for storage...

Plus, you know for sure if they are finger tight.

Unfortunately a "mild case" is mistaken for early symptoms of a full blown attack. I would advise against looking at anything that says "sale" for the next couple of weeks and DO NOT open any emails from Blackstone that have pizza recipes.

I agree with you tbob4. 2 weeks from today will be the 25th. A good and safe day to go shopping!

Fortunately, I recently had a birthday, so a pizza pan, and peel, for use on the kettle are already on the way🤩
