Didn't want to continue hijacking someone else's thread with my woes, so I'll start a whole new one just to clutter things up. Here is is, all put together. Only mild swearing involved because mine did not come fully aligned. But I made it. BTW, it has been stated that you can't get the orange touch up paint, or that it's the color of some supposed football team. Obviously, this thing is painted Allis-Chalmers orange, and getting that in a high temp version is no problem at all. And yes, I'll need to do some touching up.
Here it is, with my assistant, Dakota.

Panhead John My son's store welcomes dogs, so I take her in there as often as I can as part of her socialization. Young lady at the register REALLY wanted to pet her. I think she went through 6 treats before Dakota trusted her. Or, she just saw a good way to get more treats.
For me and my churches...it works. I'm at the age where I don't have to do this anymore if I don't want to. I keep telling younger pastors they just need to get old and able to retire, and being a pastor is fun. Oh, the looks they give me! 🤣
Bogy I wonder which is a harder job, running a restaurant or being a pastor. It's the same customers, the same crummy hours, and when everyone leaves and you shut the doors you still have to clean the place up. I guess both are passions and a labor of love.
Looks great and I love the color. Glad I was able to find my Bronco assembled, but I did have to go to 2 Academy stores to find one without problems like you had.
My experience does not seem to be the norm, fortunately. I found one review from someone who had the same issue. The box was pretty beat up when it got here. The only other issue that might be attributed to shipping is that one of the deflector plate legs was bent.
Regarding the alignment issue, a trick I learned from my antique car days might help those who run into the same problem.
Put all the screws in loosely at first and then gradually tighten them one or two turns at a time, not necessarily sequentially but in opposing pairs, since you have an even number. If you had an odd number, you could go around the circle alternating.
Perhaps some of the real mechanics or machinists in the group could critique this.
gcdmd One of the problems, if the bottom and top don't line up the nuts that are welded to the top CAN be angled so you can come in a little sideways. But if you are.doing things according to directions, you can't see. Which is why I ended up drilling out the nuts and just used them as anchors for longer screws and nuts. Which Bkhuna are now stainless steel hex heads. Thought about self tapping, but decided just drilling out the threads was better than cutting more threads.
Well That #^%*&@# sure looks like one nice *@^%$#& unit sure glad you were able to get the %$#&^@ assembled! Can't wait for the pics of the finished meals!
Sorry to hear about your assembly problems Bogy Not trying to rub it in or anything, but my Bronco was a breeze to assemble. Maybe it was just damage from shipping, or……maybe it’s because of the lifestyle you lead. If you were more like me, you know, clean living and everything, perhaps things would have gone differently.

😂 Bogy is just fine Panhead John. 1/2 a tank out-of-round could happen to any of us good citizens and as you can see, Bogy is the kind of guy that can help correct that.
😂Oh, if you only knew. Just 2 things. One, I doubt any of you could come with anything i have not heard or used, and 2, by now you should know me well enough to know I'm not your typical minister. lol
My brother is a retired minister. His whole career he was often confronted by folks who were alarmed, bemused or disappointed upon hearing him swear. His routine retort was "I'm a minister, not a GD saint!"
