Time To End This Beer Controversy……A Poll

As many of you know, there’s been an ongoing battle between myself and my arch nemesis 😉 bbqLuv over who makes the crappiest, er I mean best beer….Coors Light or Pabst Blue Ribbon? I say we poll our fellow Pit Members and see what they would choose! So, my question is, if you’re offered 2 cans of beer, one being Coors Light and the other PBR, which one would you choose? I’m giving everyone a 3rd option, but I’d like to see it used sparingly, so we can see which one really is the most popular here.
    111
    Coors Light
    23.42%
    26
    PBR
    45.95%
    51
Neither, I’d rather quit drinking beer altogether.
    30.63%
    34

    The poll is expired.

I’m not a drinker but have had a few over the years. I think the poll would be fairer if you added flat Ginger Ale as a choice. I believe that would be a better choice, and more flavorful, than the other two mentioned. 🙂

      👍👍 High Ball!

I'll drink either if they're free... My staple crap beer is bud light in the big aluminum bottles. If you had said Coors instead of narrowing it down to Coors Light I'd have ticked it. I do enjoy a Coors Banquet from time to time. But most craft beer places seem to carry PBR as an alternative for folks who refuse to try craft stuff and one place I go has 99 cent PBRs and well sometimes those just hit the spot.

Judge me all ya want, I spend a lot of money on craft beer but at home I just want a cheap easy to drink beer.

I’m solidly in the I’ll pass category. I only have maybe 12 pack through a whole summer and likely nothing in the winter, so when I want a beer, I want something totally different then those styles of beer.

Your saying, Coor's Light the suffering will be when it's free

I have consumed too many of both. I prefer Miller Lite, the Original Craft Beer of Fort Worth, Texas. I really do enjoy a hoppy IPA and a good Stout.

My first beer was a PBR, generally I wouldn't drink either, my daily drinker is Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout!

Old Rasputin is a great beer. Daily drinker? That’s hardcore!

Coors is not available in Sweden (where I live). I have tried Coors light when I've visited the US. Coors (or light beer in general) reminds me of that old joke:

          - What does Coors and having sex in a canoe have in common?
          - F**king close to water

          :-)

PBR on the other hand I really like. I'm not saying it's great or anything, but I like it. And it's available in Sweden

Free beer is free beer, I'd drink both but I won't pay for either. I tried to vote for both but it only accepted one.

Alan Brice Been there, done that. In college the beers of choice at parties were Bud Lite or Miller Lite. Bud Lite gave me a headache, Miller Lite upset my stomach. And then along came Keystone for the ridiculously cheap price of $6/case.

First of all, I LOVE beer. I mean REALLY love it. Nectar of the gods. Heaven in a glass. When in doubt, about anything, have a beer. Bored? Have a beer.

Now that I have overstated my feelings to an obnoxious degree, I am talking about any beer BUT light beer. That’s not beer.

Regarding PBR, I love the stuff. I drink it daily. Don’t get me wrong. I appreciate craft beers and love them. But when you drink as much beer as I do, well, I’d go broke if that’s all I consumed. I grew up so to speak drinking PBR. Remember, it was one of the Milwaukee legacy beers back in the day and still a huge favorite here. And it’s cheap!

So PBR it is for me.

Alan Brice hey now! I think Coors Light is ‘water beer’ and don’t drink it. A good friend drinks it and I tease him all the time. I’d rather have a craft beer, I like some of the wheat beers, cream ales, some pilsners, etc. I even like some stouts and porters.

Jfrosty27 I would expect you to say PBR, had you not, I may have had to scold you. 😂

While I am not a big beer drinker from my perspective whoever wins is one place above the cellar dweller. I don’t believe either could beat St. Arnold’s Lawn Mower beer after cutting the grass.

Coors Light helps me stay hydrated when I visit the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It's mostly water and I appreciate that.

I've had Phieffers. When I was in votech school in 1973 two cases of it was $5.60 if we had returnable to turn in. Not good beer imo.

Pfiefers' Pilsner came in 1st place in the world beer championship.
Very good beer, but at $7.50 point. Yah, no.
