The two Popeyes in my area are always good, I go at least once a month. Chicken sizes are ok, our local KFC is smaller. A new place opened right up from my clinic: Hartz Chicken Buffet. I bought a three piece all dark, my usual go-to order, and the pieces were so big that I couldn't eat the last one. Its good fried chicken, better than most places around here.
The absolute best place for chicken around here closed about 12 years ago: Southern Kitchen. I really miss them.

Just to close this out, I found the receipt and asked for a refund. This is the response. I was hoping for something like that isn't acceptable, we will address the problems from a corporate level with the franchisee, but nothing like that. At least i might get a refund.
klflowers Wow that’s so impersonal that I’d almost bet AI wrote it. We both know how an internal investigation is going to go. It’s going to be turned over to someone whose IQ and shoe size are very similar. I wish you the best of luck but I’ve read dear john letters with more hope in them.
Quite different from Duke’s mayonnaise response when we opened a new jar recently and found a defect that looked like the filling machine had coughed something up. Sent an email to customer service with a photo attached and received back two letters of apology from different people as well as a package containing several jars of mayonnaise and an assortment of their specialty sauces.
