An Afternoon with Aaron Frankli

Grillbillies BBQ Supply in NC hosted an afternoon Q&A session today with Aaron Franklin. I purchased the tickets as part of my Dad's Christmas present. We had a great time and picked up some tips and tricks on cooking BBQ. The most interesting is hearing how various processes work at Franklin BBQ.

The big surprise was they did a door prize drawing at the end and the winner (not me) won a Franklin BBQ Pit...

Wow - somebody won a pit for a door prize, that is pretty cool. Did not look like a lot of people there so the odds were pretty good. I have a Franklin pit. I’m wondering if anything he said stood out for you?

Johnny Booth there were about 75ish people there, so the odds weren't terrible.

Awesome! I was in GrillBillies about a month ago and they told me about this event (but it was already sold out). They also said that like 6 months ago, he just popped into the store completely unannounced. How cool would that be!?

scottranda I have heard that he has dropped in a couple of times. This event was put together because he was going to be in NC for another event so they put this together.

Panhead John I got lucky on the tickets, apparently they sold out in 2 days. I guess I looked at the website at just the right time.
