Hello fellow pitmasters! This deal came to me via text this morning for the Avid Armor USV1. They have limited stock, so if you are looking for a small chamber sealer (I have the USVX and love it) for sous vide or other such uses, this is a great deal.
💰 ONLY $161.40 😱 Use code: 40OFFUSV1 at checkout on AMZ: https://klo5.io/344TdA3k Limited stock, act fast on this insane deal! One code per customer.
Ditto. I have to stick with my "sometimes she seals sometimes she don't" model food saver. Then again I got it for 50 bucks on Facebook marketplace so can't complain, much.
I’ve thankfully got a pretty good system that rarely sees food go bad, so I should not complain too much either. MCS is always there in all parts of life to make me not be content with the great things I already have!

As the increasingly nervous owner of an 8 year old (still working ... so far) FoodSaver 4840, I just ordered the Avid Armor USV1. Thanks for posting this!
I was just minding my own business, checking out recent posts when BAM. MCS hits me in the face! Was thinking of getting a food saver at Costco for awhile at close to the price point but everyone panned it for quality. Saw recent posts about chamber version and was looking at the higher models of Avid Armor but price and size were not adding up. These deal is too good to pass up for an entry in chamber sealers, perfect for soups and sauces. And although SWMBO may balk, I can parry and counter, “But when you make food for our college daughter and we drive it up next month, this will pack it much better”
Thanks HotSun for helping spend my Amazon gift card from Christmas. Now I will need a sous vide machine….
MBMorgan58limited, my FoodSaver died in November and the word from folks here on AR was that the new ones don't last. A big selling point is that the Avid Armor chamber sealer is serviceable, whereas the FoodSavers are mostly disposable. I had to convince my DW to get it, but since I do most of the cooking, she was okay with it.
Here is a great post started by Kathryn ( fzxdoc) that convinced me to get the Avid Armor:
Up until August 2017 I had a Food Saver Vacuum Sealer that lasted well over 10 years. Then I vac sealed a bag of corn cut off the cob and drowned the innerworkings by mistake. So I
Ok my Avid Armor USV1 arrived today and I’m impressed. I took a quart of store bought Marinara sauce and split into 2 because sometimes we have a smaller dinner and end up with leftover we have to use within a week when we don’t necessarily want to use in a week. Plus it was a great way to kick the tires. (After the water test well just because)
Packaging was well done and unit is of solid construction. Quick start guide was good but looked online for a few quick videos to jumpstart the learning.
This is an entry level chamber sealer but doesn’t feel like it. And for 40% off it put it within the big box non-chamber sealers. And it’s not orders of magnitude smaller than the chamber ones double or triple the price
Bonus: My wife Totally saw the potential (after a few life lessons she passed on) lol.
Thanks again and this another reason why Amazingribs membership pays for itself!
I'm not sold on the comment that Amazingribs Membership pays for itself. It has also led me to pay for chamber sealers at 40% off, Grilla OG Grills, Anova Sous Vides, Fireboard wireless thermometers, Grill Armor Wrist LED Flashlight for Gloves, etc. etc. etc...

I already have a Avid Armor chamber vac but decided for the 40% off I’d go shopping for someone’s upcoming birthday present. Got one on the way. Thanks for posting the code.

Got mine today, too and I'm seriously impressed. This is a very solid piece of machinery. Like those who came before me, I bagged water first ... just to see if it works. It does! 3 cups in a 8x10" bag without a drop spilled. Tomorrow, it's split pea soup in individual meal-sized portions. I'm hoping for close to a full quart per 10x10" bag (we'll see ...).
I think my poor old FoodSaver is going to be relegated to fabricating bags from rolls for the chamber sealer until I run out of rolls or until it finally expires ... whichever comes first.
