Do Fireboards ever go on sale?

I've been eyeing a Fireboard 2 Drive for a while to use on my Weber 26" kettle with a Pit Viper fan. However, I just can't justify the cost for how much I use the grill. Do they ever have sales? How about discounts for Pitmaster Club members?

I have never seen them go on sale. Instead, they usually have a "buy something, get a free thing" deal going. I'm on their mailing list and if I see an actual sale, I will post it.

Maybe the Pit leadership can work out a Pitmaster discount or there already is one that Huskee knows about.

Agreed. I've never seen a significant sale on them. I absolutely LOVE my Fireboard - I just need to get more probes, I've burned a few up and can't make use of all the channels at the moment.

How the heck did you burn up probes?

My stupid grill... my Yoder has caught on fire both times I tried to do chicken wings. I don't understand it. I really think something is wrong with my Yoder, but I can't seem to make it work right.

No discounts that I know of, however they do offer one as a Second Prize choice if you should be so fortunate to be drawn as the Second Prize winner. September's winners will hopefully be announced next Tues/Weds.

IdahoJim the thing is that Fireboards are forever thermometers. I got a very early Fireboard in Dec 2016. I used it at least once a week, and sometimes as much as 5 times in a week, until this May when my wife decided I should get a new Fireboard 2 for my birthday. I gave my old FB to a friend, and he is now using it at least once a week. That means that first Fireboard had well over 500 cooks done using it. And is still working just fine. I had to replace one probe in that time.

It's a fantastic American product that will last a lifetime.

I am using a Thermoworks smoke that I have had for a few years. It has been rock solid. Still going strong. Unfortunately, it can't be used as an automatic temperature controller. I know they have the Signals and Billows combination, but I think the Fireboard 2 Drive and Pit Viper would be a cleaner solution.

Sometimes that's all the tipping point one needs. I just bought a couple fridge thermometers from Thermoworks because I wanted some Jelly Bellys.
