Well that is about 10 lbs of monkey poop in a 5 lb bag... went to order and it is back up to $199. I was honestly going to give this a try even though I am an SV pessimist. Was honestly kind of excited about getting in and trying SV at a reasonable price but obviously missed it... maybe it is a sigh from the true bbq gods.

Grills: 22" Weber (wood handles) (another Weber on the way), Lodge Sportsman "hibachi"
Smoker: None yet, part of why I joined
Thermometer: 10+ yr old Taylor digital thermometer with remote
Sous Vide: Anovo Imersion Circulator (1st gen)
Coffee Roaster: Hot Top Coffee Roaster
Adult Beverages: Fighting Cock Bourbon, Leinny Shandy, Troegs Mad Elf
I fessed to BF that I ordered two, one for his cousin's wedding next March and one for us or someone for Christmas. He politely informed me that we NEED the second one. Like Breadhead said, so two can be run at once (though we need to get an electrical upgrade, right now we can only run one additional appliance at a time - we can tell when the SV shuts off because the lights stop flickering LOL).

I was asking about the ChefSteps membership and it is NOT included in the price of the Joule.
Thank you so much for your preorders and for checking on this! I am so sorry for any confusion, but ChefSteps Premium is no longer included with the new lower price of Joule that you purchased your two Joules for, and a membership will now need to be purchased additionally for $24 at chefsteps.com/premium. Thank you so much for checking!

Well, here's a little something that may have to do with Sous-Vide and Breadhead and me, from the Flying Burrito Brothers:
I don't ever think about tomorrow
Whether or why is all on another day
And I think that it's been said by somebody up ahead.
The older guys tell me what it's all about
The older guys really got it all worked out
Since we got the older guys to show us how
I don't see why we can't stop right now.
It's so cold staying living down on the ocean
Dead on the beach is where I want to rent my home
And I think that it's been said by somebody up ahead.
The older guys get the ladies with their style
Yeah the older guys squeeze 'em till it makes them smile
What's the sense of looking like a cop on the beat ?
What's the sense of looking at a girl on the street
The older guys tell me what it's all about
The older guys really got it all worked out
Since we got the older guys to show us how
I don't see why we can't stop right now.
(Don't believe it)!

Mine arrives Tuesday, and I'm looking forward to it.
For any that didn't read about the delays on the Joule site - quite some time ago the FCC denied approval due to the Joule wireless network components generating a signal that was too strong. After the design was modified, it took a while to get back through the FCC approval queue again, and only then could they start a manufacturing run. Now they're trying to crank out units as fast as possible, and I suspect they've been trying to work out assembly and production obstacles.
