I bought one of these for my DCS gasser a while back, I used it a few times a year and it was great to have. Got rid of the DCS and the rotisserie went with it, I don't really miss it but it was fun to use.

Man I had a DCS but let the grease build up so badly that it finally caught fire and destroyed the plastic and rubber parts. Also had cast iron grates which were rotting so I brought it down to the scrap yard and sold it for $100 in stainless scrap. Thing was built like a tank !!! I still have the rotisserie.

Current cookers Weber Spirit 3 burner with a full insert griddle added. A 22" Kettle with vortex, SnS and a Smokey Joe. The most recent addition is a Pit Barrel Jr with bird hanger, 4 hooks and cover. ThermoWorks Smoke 2 probe, DOT, 2 ThermoPops and a Thermapen MK4. A Thermoworks RFX Gateway 2 probe meat thermometer.

I have done turkey and chicken with a rotisserie on my kettle - comes out great. You can fit at least three chickens in a kettle, but I only have forks for two.

My thought was to use it to sear the rib roast at the end. Can I get a good sear that way? Or is it better to set directly on the grates and rotate every few minutes? Thanks for all the replies!

Potkettleblack I like that idea, if I can get it delivered on time. I’ll pay extra but it might be worth it. Originally I was going to start it slow on the WSM. Thanks for the tip.
