I used my new Onlyfire 22" rotisserie for the first time yesterday and was generally very happy. The results were delicious. The only problem I had was that roughly every 20 minutes the spit slipped out of the motor and had to be re-inserted. I'm wondering if it's because I had the two chickens off-center slightly or if I had the counterweight in the wrong spot. I'm pretty sure I've got it assembled correctly.
Does anyone have experience with this problem? Any potential fixes?
At their website, it looks like there is a thingy that goes on the spit rod on the inside of the big round thingy to keep the rod from walking out of the spit motor.
I had the same problem with mine. I adjusted the position of the collar on the rod opposite the motor so the natural springiness of the steel ring applies pressure on the rod to push it into the motor receptacle. Hope that makes sense. Works perfect ever since.
