Rotisserie Ribs on Napoleon Prestige 500 RSIB Question
Has anyone ever done ribs rotisserie style on a Napoleon Gas Grill with a back infrared burner? I am interested in doing some ribs this weekend rotisserie style but I can't find anything online or on YouTube in terms of setup.
If you have done them in the past, please let me know what you did. Do you actually use the back infrared burner? If so, what temp did you set it it? High? Medium? Low? Do you light any of the below burners? If so, which ones (mine is a four burner grill)? What temp do you keep those burners at? How long should the cook take?
I have a 1960s vintage Farberware Open Hearth Broiler. They were in production until about 30 years ago. The owner's manual has a recipe for rotisserie ribs that I've always wanted to try with the Rendezvous Ribs recipe on the free side. I can't vouch for the condensed tomato soup marinade shown here.

Been smoking a handful of years, just got serious in the last two or three years. Thanks to AR n @glemn picked up an SnS Kamado for appx 1/3 price of new. I dont think he used it twice. Love AR! keep calm n smoke on! Miss you Bonesy.
I have a three burner Victory. Bought it because it came with Roti. Only Fire does a platform that only does well trimmed ribs. Too large and they hit causing the platform to tip over. Also a PIA(nkle, Tx K) to clean. Used the two outside burners, not even on high.

EZCUSE no infrared. Three burner, used the two on the outside with a smoke box on the left. tried to keep temps in the low 200's. Gasser runs pretty hot just watch yer temps, might even spritz. Meater+ on ribs, wired probe under center of roti to monitor temps overall,

I have a Napoleon 500 Pro with roti. I've only used it for chicken using the rear burner. Works great. I do have the roti basket that I suppose I could use it for ribs, but I've never had the inclination to use it for that as I have a MAK smoker that I love for ribs.
I was thinking of just putting the ribs weaved through the spit. I have a Yoder that I do my ribs and other low and slow stuff on but I wanted to try a variation and feel that rotisserie ribs could turn out well if I don't completely butcher them in terms of temps.
