Large Big Green Egg, Weber Performer Deluxe, Weber Smokey Joe Silver, Fireboard Drive, 3 DigiQs, lots of Thermapens, and too much other stuff to mention.
The block will pick up many scratches through the years. Ask for a discount instead of an exchange, and just touch it up with mineral oil when it gets nicked.
The scratches are on the side that’ll be visible to me all the time. And it’ll bug me every time I look at it. I’m pretty careful with my stuff, so hopefully it won’t get scratched up. I’m hoping they’ll send me a new one without a hassle.
Congrats on a very nice looking set! We've had a set of Wusthof Classics for 30 years and they are timeless. Just a touch to my sharpener a couple times a year and they are ready to go, they will suit you fine.

If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
Nice! I also like that those steak knives are NOT serrated - that means you can sharpen them on a regular knife sharpener much more easily. I've manually sharpened a few of our serrated knives with my Worksharp and its tedious sharpening one serration at a time.
Well Kudos to Donna at Wusthof customer service! I had a feeling they’d take care of my scratched block for me….and they are. I just got off the phone with them and all Donna asked was for me to send her a picture of the scratches…no returning mine necessary! She said they have plenty in stock and will send a new one out to me today! That’s how to take care of your customers. She even gave me honing tips over the phone. A 10* angle on the Santuko and 14* angle on the other knives.
I’ll have no use for my scratched block, so if anyone out there would like it, let me know. I’ll ship it to you free of charge. First response here can have it, and you can just PM me your address.
EDIT: THE KNIFE BLOCK HAS FOUND A NEW HOME.

I would ask for the block, but my wife threw away the block we had many years ago, as she hates clutter on the counter top. At least I've gotten her to help me keep the knives either in sheathes or in a knife holder block in the "knife" drawer over the past couple of years - oh and to NOT put the good ones in the dish washer. It helps that she has one Cutco trimmer that she is attached to, and which I just got back from being serviced and sharpened...

I think I'm late to the bad joke party here, so I'm stuck with just saying how envious I am of that pile of shiny new hardware!!
Great purchase, we'll look forward to more photos of their use. As long absolutely none of them involve showers, leg hair (or any other kind of hair, thank you), or your 'girlfriend'.
PJ, I've given this some honest thought. The idea of you dis-foliating your earhole in a sick sort reverse-pencil sharpener maneuver is fascinating, in a stomach churning sort of way. I do not endorse, but it is interesting to consider.
