I twist tie individual probes then store them in a disposable Tupperware-type container.

Mine dangle here and there, mostly outside, like weeds. Yep, it's true, don't care, not gonna change. Probes are built to last a long time even when abused so I abuse them. I likely will never buy or use a probe spool. (There's one of us in every crowd, right?)

I use to hang mine on a hook in the pantry. I recently started using a plastic Tupperware type box. It doesn’t matter how hard I try they seem to tangle up when I get ready to use them.

The real question is how quickly do you throw them away when they quit working. How long does it take for you to finally decide they ain’t working anymore!

Hate wires! I know it is not right to hate. I solved all of this crud, RFX. Mic drop.

The only probe I ever had go bad did so with no warning. Told me a fresh chicken I was roasting had a temp of 10F after it had been on the grill for 40 minutes. I took out the probe and reset the channel. Told me the chicken was 250F. Then, it just went dead and the base unit said "no probe detected". I was about two months out of warranty, but ThermoWorks replaced it anyway.

Nice... and no wires to worry about getting tangled.
