A timely post! I just bought this off of Amazon a few days ago.

I have three different remote thermometers I use regularly and my main goal is to keep them separate with their correct probes. Right now I have all three and their probes all mixed in one box.

Not properly, no embarrassing photos either.

I guess I keep mine pretty messy! I have started wrapping my cords so they don’t get tangled and the two spools I got are helpful.

Timely post. I just got rid of the fan I never used and ordered more probes for my XR50. I have a basket with probes from monitoring systems I don’t even own anymore. I also have some of those spools that I don’t really like. When I get the new probes I plan of dumping all the old stuff and sticking with the XR50 until I win the Dec drawing and get a FireBoard. As for storage, I have an extra tackle box I’ll probably use.

I keep each of my thermometers and its probes in gallon size freezer bags, and in a storage bin with the rest of my gear.

Wherever I used them last time, not on the floor of course

Coil then bread tie n into plastic bag. But now that I have the RFX all that changes. :-)

Nice. That RFX sure is tempting...

Call me crazy, but personally I like the Thermoworks probe storage reels. I’ve got 7 of them with different probes rolled up stored in the shoebox sized 6 qt plastic box I keep the thermometers all in. Before I had those, they got put into individual plastic sandwich bags for storage.

I use the Thermoworks probe reels and like them. Since they are magnetic I keep them up on my metal pegboard along with the thermometers. That has worked great for me so far.

I would like to think I have a nice holder like all the ones above. However, I just wrap them around my firebird when I am done, there it sits until the next cook.

I hate the wires, so I really only use the smoker ambient probe. I really do not even bother with a meat probe anymore. They die all the time, they get all tangled up, the wires are greasy and I just kinda hate dealign with them. I know how long stuff takes now, so I just probe with the Thermapen when I know it is getting close to time for pulling.

For my 4 ThermoWorks Signals probes, I used the magnetic spools that TW sells. I liked them. I keyed them to the silicone color rings I put on each probe because I'm extra like that.

What silicone rings are you using? I assume you are marking the probe end and plug end maybe to make it easier to see what's plugged in where?

I used those for a while, but if I put one on the end in the smoker it just turned gray or black...

I've been using these for about 2 years, they are a 3D-printed model I found on Thingiverse and they seem to fit perfectly. I used to have them hanging up but these days they just go into a bin.
