How do you store your probes

I'm just curious how you all store your thermometer probes. I keep my Thermoworks Smoke with its remote receiver and the gateway, along with five probes, in the Thermoworks large case. I use a couple of the pockets for probes and the rest just go in zip-lock bags, like this:

I've seen spools for storing probes, but they seem to take up a lot of space. This works pretty good for now. I've been thinking of just making simple paper sleeves to put the probes in. Something like a return envelope that has been sealed and then cut off the end.

Anyway, I just thought I'd share what I do and ask what the rest of you do.

I hang my wired probes from a nail on the wall.

Mine are not stored that nice. I put them in a small box that has a cover with the Smoke & Receiver. My BBQ Guru with Probes is in it's own small box. I have 2 Fans (Sm & Lg) that have their own box. So I'm saying my stuff is organized but not coiled up neatly.

I almost do it the same way. But don't put my probes in plastic bags (good idea though and maybe will copy that). I just spool them like you do and put a twist tie on to hold them. I have the same Thermoworks system you do, but also a 4 outlet system. I put them all in an old BBQ Guru case to keep them all together.

I keep mine in empty Pirouline wafer cans. They are tall enough that I can put the lids on and keep them from getting dusty, etc.

I have a couple of the spools from thermoworks. They really don’t work well at all. I tossed them in a drawer.

There's medication that can help with this.

As the saying goes, great minds think alike. Same idea here except I used a length of pipe insulation. I can lay the probes length-wise and fit about 4 probes in 3 feet of foam without too much overlap.

Come back when you have used those probes. They are far too clean!

The two needle probes are only a few months old. The rest are several years old. The big meat probe and air probe are original to the Smoke, which I bought several years ago. Haven't had a probe failure yet (knock on wood).

I keep mine looped up with twist-ties, and put the twist-tied probes in a big ziplock. Nothing fancy at all.

I have a ThermoWorks case like yours Jim. Mine’s just a 2 probe but the case works great for me. I just roll the probes up like you do and stick em in the pockets. I also keep my instant read in there as well.

I know Jim White! Those things are brand new, don't think you're fooling anybody! Hahaha, j/k.

My probes are scattered all over the back porch, hanging from various cookers, prolly some on the ground, etc. lol I tried for a while, but I gave up. They're just such stringy, greasy, dirty spaghetti wires, it was hopeless. lol

I’m kinda inbetween Steve B and just having them strewn in a drawer.

I haven't found anything that works better than the Fireboard stackable probe spools for K-probes. Pouches and other things just don't work great with K-probes.

They used to live in a drawer, but now I have a dedicated rub and cookin' cabinet thanks to a new table we bought.

DogFaced PonySoldier - the ol’ husky imitating a possum. My husky would play possum hoping for deliciousness to fall! My labs are far more overt in their pursuit of food.

I used to use these but they take up too much space in my drawer. I switched to Fireboard's Probe Wallets. They work pretty well and are much more compact.
