Which of your thermometers or controllers do you find yourself using the most?

For me, it's my Thermoworks Chef Alarm that only has one probe. I grill a lot more than I smoke, so the CA comes in handy. Second would be the Thermapen One.

I use my Thermapen MK4 every time, along with Thermoworks Smoke or Chef Alarm depending on the cook.

MK4 and the IR gun. I use one of those at least once a day.

I have two so I use two every time. A ThermoPop and a basic wired Inkbird. My answer will probably be more interesting once my wireless Combustion thermometer arrives….in early November (?).

RonB I ordered first day it was available within 1.5 hours of first preorders and am order 1439. My thinking is order 1000 was actually the first order and I am probably around 439 in reality. Perhaps I am too optimistic!

I am also indifferent as to when it arrives. It will get here when it gets here, and I'd rather wait for them to get it right than ship something that is not right.

              RonB 110% agreed.

Thermapen, IR gun for searing steaks, Getting the grate to 600 before laying on the ribeye. Do not use probes anymore. Smoked enough meats don't need it, and a great relationship with my pellet grill. We dance.

The IR gun is great for frying, which I need to do more!

I've been using my Thermapen One a lot. Even though my MAK and Fireboard both read fine, I use them as an advance warning to go check things, which I do with the Thermapen checking a few spots or the other proteins depending what I'm cooking.

These days, it's either the thermapen or the IR gun. If I need a leave-in, it's normally for smoking on my OG and the built-in thermo is accurate and works just fine. My collection of Chef Alarms and my smoke just gather dust ...

Yep, Thermopen One is used the most, with the old Mk models as auxiliary. A related product, also Thermoworks, the Time Stack is our most used kitchen item. Multiple timers are always handy, and in one easy to use package it's a winner.

Thermapen is used all the time. It’s just the best. I recently gave SNS about $80 bucks for their thermometers. I bought the 4 probe one that was recently on sale and their instant thermometer too. It’s good. But it’s no thermapen.

The MK4 gets used almost daily it seems.
IR is next on the list, although it’s used more often for curiosity’s sake on random stuff than trying to confirm a temp.
For LnS I use the Maverick ET-732. I’d love to upgrade but it really is a great little unit and it does everything I need it to do.

That’s all I have so it makes picking one pretty straightforward.
