    Most expensive pan?

This is about more than the most expensive pan, but I found it interesting. From our friend Chris Young.

I have a Heritage Steel that fits my big tops and a small nonstick that fits my small tops. No silver.

Wow. $4,200 for one pan. Way above my range!
I use a set of ceramic coated non stick pans from Costco. $129 for the whole set. They seem to do everything I need except high heat searing. I don’t do that indoors anyway. Too many smoke alarm episodes! I just fire up a grill for that. 🤷‍♂️

In the words of an immortal Sicilian:

          "Inconceivable!"

          I'll stick with my Lodge/Oxo/Misen/etc I think!

I felt bad for spending so much on that Misen dutch oven too, that I got via their kickstarter back in late 2020, going into 2021. I think it was about $100!

This is a perfect way for me to present another pan in our house. Cause I’m wanting a few new pans. 😂

This is exactly how I present purchases, with something huge, way too expensive, and completely un practical, it always makes what I’m truly going to buy seem reasonable.

So I will start with I was looking and seriously considering this one, but thought it seemed way to irrational and out of our budget, so I went a far more affordable new All Clad. “Such a smart decision, don’t you agree hun? “ I mean I would look like a bargain shopper on with this one,

Jessterr my wife certainly knows me, and I often openly joke about my methods, yet I continue to use them because they are indeed truly effective! Mostly because my wife would never truly tell me no to anything that keeps my brain occupied and happy. Nor do I of her, But you would laugh at some of my information campaigns, my weber summit kamado started with smokers being pulled by a semi

A dozen would be perfect between the house and camper.

That's a fantastic video, well thought out, not too much extra... I'm glad he didn't test burner types but did briefly go over the issues.

Also, um if I ever win the lottery that may be one of the signs.

That is actually more than I paid for my house in 1999. I guess it is the price for a new truck now...

I sure can’t buy these. The expense of the pans would be followed by the expense of a divorce. History tells me those are very expensive. Much like barelfly I was in sales but I don’t think I could sell them either. I just don’t think a fine dinner or a bottle of good Scotch and a few Cuban cigars would open many doors for those. Looks like my stuff will have to do.

Reading through the comments here I don't even intend to click the link. I just wonder if my grilled cheese will taste that much better with such a pan?

Damn, I thought that $120 on sale for a De Buyer Mineral B Pro 12” carbon steel pan was kinda crazy …. now I realize I’m a piker

I still love the De Buyer, though

Richard Chrz De Buyer is like the French Grand Daddy of carbon steel …. That said, I like my Made In carbon steel also. The Mineral B Pro that I have from De Buyer will end up handed down through a bazillion generations. The thing is a tank … 3mm thick carbon steel, about 1/8” …. Make sure you do your upper body workouts before handling this thing :-D

I’m heavy in wanting an 11 inch carbon omelette pan. These De Buyer’s are the best I’ve seen from my searching so far

The quality shown in build in the photo shown by you speaks volumes
