In my ongoing quest to get crispy bacon at home where I don’t make 95% of it, I can report a success. This thread is probably the third or fourth thread I have started on this topic. Possibly indicative of how important this topic is this household where we have 4 bacon eater and the primary bacon cook doesn’t eat any.
Earlier, we discussed different ways of making bacon in the oven without generating smoke and setting off the fire alarm while the exchange student has a migraine.
I can also report the tin foil, wire rack, and a thin layer of water successfully cooks bacon in the oven with no smoke. However, I am not sure if that suggestion was greeted with enthusiasm.
Enter the Makin Bacon microwave dish. For the bacon we buy, we had to cut it in half and do two batches, which took about 10-12 minutes to do a full pound.
The Original Makin Bacon Microwave Bacon Dish - Makes Crispy Bacon in Minutes - Simple, Quick, and Easy to Use - Reduces Fat Content for a Healthier Meal - Molded in The USA https://a.co/d/3KAOHHX
As you can see, the results were spectacular. This has the seal of approval from 4 rabid bacon eaters and one non-bacon eating cook. I have also been advised that the kids can now make their own bacon, another plus.
Next up, I am sure we can try it with my homemade bacon which will be done later this week. No issues there right ecowper ?
