I was talking with some other members and we decided it might be best for anyone who wants to lead a monthly cook to sign up for a month. That way we don't have a lot of confusion by having several recipes being thrown out there at once each month. This is a tentative idea, if everyone would prefer to pick from a list of recipes each month that is fine too.
I'll start a tentative sign up list here. My plan is for anyone who wishes to lead a Team Cook to pick a month but don't reveal your recipe now, wait until the month of the Team Cook.
Review the Team Cook basics post, but here is the main idea:

January WI Bubba Stuffed Italian Sausage Smoke Bomb
February Panhead John
March Mr. Bones Mr. Bones Annual Memorial Cook
April 58limited
May - Mosca

Basic Information
The idea of Team Cook is to prepare a recipe as written. It is meant to get us out of our comfort zone, challenge us to a new cuisine or flavor profile, learn new ingredients, try a new technique....
...stick to the original recipe as much as we can. Don't have a half onion, use a shallot. Don't have fresh ginger, use the frozen pods. These kind of subs are ok. But I would ask that if a recipe calls for ground beef, use ground beef. Because if you sub ground turkey, you are going to have to adjust a lot of seasoning because turkey is such a blank canvas.
