Plain yellow mustard and a glug of sweet BBQ sauce, stir well and cook in the OG with Eckrich skinless sausage. Whatever is left over goes for lunch the next day. Cut sausage into bite sized pieces. (I especially like jalapeno and cheddar!)

I don't use hamburger meat but do use some crumbled Italian sausage, bourbon, some dijon, garlic, some of my favorite spices and maybe some pork rub. Of course cracked pepper. I kind of "wing" it but the Italian sausage, bourbon, garlic, are always the main staples.

If as a side? Didn't read it all but some ketchup, brown sugar, onion, and half a can of diced green chilis. Maybe a little Q-shake.

Meat of choice if more of a main dish.

Park them under your pork butt for a while cooking!

A can of apple pie filling plus other stuff makes great farty Bushes beans.

Mix onion, bell pepper, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce with baked beans, then top with diced raw bacon. Put into smoker or oven until bacon is cooked and rendered. Super yummy and gets devoured every time.

Any one of our much-loved Mr. Bones ' three recipes here on The Pit.

I cobbled together an amalgam of the three and that's what I use. He liked Hy-Vee beans, mostly, though. Here are his original, fun-to-read recipes.

                      Hill of Beans I

                      Hill of Beans II

P.S. Huskee , when I click on the @link for Mr. Bones in this post , his avatar no longer appears in the member page. Thankfully, it's still there on his posts, though. Is this how it works for an In Memoriam member? Just wondering...

                      Fun thread....

Sausage or Bacon is the starting point and then the fun begins

We call them "Kitchen Sink" Beans and add:

                        Onions
                        Bell Peppers
                        Jalapenos
                        Corn
                        Worchestershire Sauce
                        Yellow Mustard
                        Molasses
                        BBQ Sauce
                        Favorite BBQ Rub
                        Brown Sugar
                        Bacon
                        Hamburger
                        Hot Breakfast Sausage
                        Cumin
                        Chili Powder
                        Garlic Powder
                        Cilantro
                        Salt and Pepper

These actually become more of a main dish instead of a side...HA!!

Some of these posts went from doctoring up a can to down right surgery.
I need to try some of these recipes.
