raywjohnson , I’m having the same problem... mobile device
-
-
raywjohnson , I will emphasize again I and I think Randy-Phx are talking about mobile devices (phones). You are giving us directions for desktop or laptop devices. Those instructions do not work for phones.
I have changed nothing in my settings other than deleting cookies and cache and history to try to reset things 15 times when that was what you were saying the formatting problem was. Other than that my settings are the same as they were before the update when I didn’t have this problem.
If I am doing something wrong I am open to fix it but I haven’t done anything... AR changed... not my phone.

You are all good. I am working to figure out what the iPhone/Safari is not doing correctly. I do not have access to an iPhone, so very difficult to debug. Apple does not give anything for free. I cannot find any real emulators for free. I will figure this out eventually.
-
Huskee and/or Meathead , I have no idea what it would cost to get raywjohnson what he would need to help him (iphone, software, etc...) but it would be appreciated if it could be considered. I don’t foresee Apple products going away anytime soon and to be quite candid the customer experience in the pit for Apple users has suffered significantly lately with all of the problems over the last few updates.

raywjohnson , here are screen shots of safari options on an iPhone since that seems to be part of the disconnect.

Since I removed the "Select Last 30 Days" option, and it shows on your screen shot, that means your browser is displaying a cached version of the page. Please update cache to see the latest changes. Important note: for some reason, iPhones seem to ignore all the methods employed to automatically update cache resources. Once I get the iPhone I ordered, I hope to figure out the cause. Stay tuned!

raywjohnson this morning I came to the AR website and I was already logged in. I hope that means this issue is fixed. 👍

I would like to take credit. These are almost always caching issues. Sometimes you try to do a hard refresh, but it fails to work even though you did it correctly. This is because all web browsers just suck. However, I do have a built in feature that should force the refresh every 24 hours. It tricks the browser by changing the URL (adding a daily timestamp to the end). The browser thinks it is a new asset and downloads (as is should whenever you do a hard refresh). So I get a bit of credit.

I’ve got no issues with staying logged in on my iPhone. I am still having some issues with liking comments, sometimes I have the option but not always, and some issues with formatting, the first page of recent posts is fine but subsequent pages have the weird formatting that others have taken screenshots of.
-
There is still a pending issue with formatting on Recent Pages (on iPhones). I ordered a used iPhone so that I can figure out the cause. I will get that Monday (Nov 4, 2019). I hope to have the iPhone formatting issues cleared up once I can test on a real iPhone.

Alrighty then!
I think I have it fixed. And for info, it was not a cache issue.
My apologies for harping on the cache thing, it is the problem 98% of the time.
So please check the Recent Posts page. And hit the refresh icon, should be sufficient.
