Is this button missing for anyone else?

No. It has moved a bit, but still there.

Look under the word "contents" in the button that sez "table of contents".

I wonder why it moved? I had the same thing this morning and had to do a search.

You will end up here (Without "Today's Posts")

Now click on the "Home > The Pit" (NOTE: click on the words "The Pit")

And then you should have "Today's Posts"

If you ask me something is broke. I did try clearing the browser cache and it didn't help. Also there is no way to go directly from the message center to the pit. (Sorry, software engineer for over 20 years, I look at user interfaces and functionality all day long).

Yeah, the first thing I noticed this morning was the Today's Posts button missing, as that is how I normally browse the forums, by clicking that. Now you have to choose a forum, then it magically appears on a 2nd level menu that goes away once you go back to the top of the forums. I much prefer it where it was, so that you can see it all the time while in the forums.

We'll get it fixed. I noticed it early this morning and sent RayJ (our vBulletin IT guy) a message about it. He's something of a night shifter so he'll get it fixed later this afternoon/evening. He had slightly rearranged the nav bar on orders from above, and it got accidentally omitted apparently. It'll be back soon.

If y'all notice things like this, just kick me an email ([email protected]) and I'll get it handled quicker that way than a post.

You can call him Ray, and you can call him J, but you had better call him to come fix this thing before there's a general mutiny (I hope you realize I'm just kidding)

What, no separate development environment? Making changes to production systems without testing them first, no matter how minor the developers think it is, is a recipe for error.

That's my experience, whether it's a web page, or a mainframe. I realize that there isn't enough resources to isolate the tester from the developer (luxury I had in mainframe era with 150+ personnel), but any change should be tested away from production BEFORE it is implemented.

                  Best regards,
                  Jim

Not harsh, just factual. It's not a person thing. It's an environmental setup thing. I have customers with websites where they try doing everything on the fly, with a single production environment, and frequently things break when someone tries to make changes. Customers where the environment is set up correctly have much smoother lives.

Mistakes happen, we're all human. The important thing is we get things fixed as soon as we can.

What's happening is the Pit nav bar is missing. Today's Posts is still there, but when it that view the nav bar is missing. notice "Search Results" in the screencap below. Search Results means the search (of Today's Posts) is where you are.
