Only allowed to post using 400 characters

I was trying to reply to a post and it failed telling me I could only use 400 characters.

Jim,
When you are commenting on a post, there is a limit to the number of characters you can use. This keeps the discussion under each individual post, shorter and easier to manage. The comments section was unlimited for a while, when The Pit first opened but it was tough to keep topics clean and orderly. If you want to post more than 400 characters, you can "quote" or post a reply with that person tagged. Sorry if this has caused you any inconvenience, but there is a reason for it.

Thanks, I had a feeling that was the issue. Makes sense. Wasn't an inconvenience, just made me get to the point faster. lol

This is a reply. It is unlimited.

This is a comment. It is limited to 400 characters (was 300, I increased it). These are meant to be brief, sidebar replies or responses if you will, so as not to detract from the main flow of the topic. Hope this helps
