Ok, since I was out of commission for a while, over the last couple of days I reread the beginner basics such as intro and help etc...
i have the following issue today. I posted a new topic in the sausage/hot dog "area" under the "recipes and techniques" section of "forums."

I was under the impresion one only had to go to "today's posts" to follow along various threads so as not to have to check each one (threads) individually.

I can not find my post under "today's posts" or the "hot dog/sausage" thread however it shows up in my "recent posts" at the top of the screen.

Perhaps I missed the cause of this when going over the "Plethora of useful information" provided.

This is the only time this happened and I've only been courteously redirected once so I like to think I'm humming along.

Sometimes it takes a reply to show up, sometimes it just shows up after a period of time, other times a moderator has to make them show up.

Thought I would add 1 to your post and see if that fixes it for you.

Down in the forum. Just added another post to it. Took me a while. I was solving a problem for a client.

No, not a coincidence. Bugs in software. Not blaming the creators of AR. This is about that wonderful open source software that powers most Internet sites, in this case, MYSQL which is part of the underpinning of vBulletin. Indexing doesn't work well, things like 2 phase commit don't exist (technobable, I know).. That's why when it counts, companies use database tools like Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase to build databases.
