    Forum feature request - mentions

I'm using various social media, and one feature I really like is called "mentions". You prefix a user name with the @ sign, and that makes the name a link to that user's profile. Like I would type "thanks for the recipe, @johndoe", and the last word (@johndoe) would be a link to the user profile. I did some searching to see if vBulletin supports it, and it does, but a plugin (or mod as they like to call it) must be installed. I found one here:

But there are most likely others to choose from also. What do you all think?

I wholeheartedly support this, and as in Instagram or Facebook, the mentionee receives a notification that someone said something @ or about them.

Good work Henrik! Maybe we can get a word into the IT folks so that when we upgrade soon it can begin!

By the way, I'm moving this to the Suggestion Box!

I'll forward this on to the IT folks. I know they're going to say it's low priority until we're done with the update to vBulletin 5.1.3, so even if approved it might not happen for a few weeks.

      Henrik, thanks for the suggestion!

The Pit Barrel Cooker May Be Too Easy

The PBC has a rabid cult following for good reason. It’s among the best bargains for a smoker in the world. This baby cooks circles around cheap offset smokers because temperature control is so much easier. Click here to read our detailed review and the raves from people who own them.

A Propane Smoker That Performs Under Pressure

The Masterbuilt MPS 340/G ThermoTemp XL Propane Smoker is the first propane smoker with a thermostat, making this baby foolproof. All you need to do is add wood to the tray above the burner to start smokin’. Click here to read our detailed review.
