I don’t know how long this has worked but I noticed it yesterday. I LOVE that we can now go back to notifications without every comment and like from that thread disappearing. Way to go! This makes the sight waaaay more user friendly.

Steve let’s say you had multiple posts on “show us what you’re cooking” get likes and comments. It used to be that if you’d go to notifications and clicked on one of those to read one particular comment that you couldn’t go back and click on other comments bc every other like or comment would be erased. So the only way to find those other comments or likes was to scroll through all your post or do what RonB does and open each comment or like in a separate tab. Now you don’t.

I seem to not have that working…example having your comments and notifications in the MLB thread. I click on one to read, then they all disappear like they have in the past??
So I have to open in separate tabs - am I doing something incorrectly?
See my comment below, are you talking about the list that pops up in notifications that alerts you to comments and likes? You can recall all of the notifications by using the 'filters' tab.
Are you talking about the list in the notifications? I guess I am confused.
I would go into the notifications filter and click on 'both,' and all of them would be displayed again, but if the fix means I don't have to do that any longer, great. It is an improvement saving me a step.
Yes, I was having the issue that I click on one notification and they all would vanish. The "open each channel in a separate tab" solves that. Now I can close each tab independently. :-)

May I trouble someone for some screen shots? Are you using a desktop, phone, tablet? I am 99% iPad user for the Pit.
Currently, I look through notifications to see if anyone “mentions” me. I go there first and then scroll through so as not to is anything. And yes, additional notifications disappear when I go back to the unread notifications.
SheilaAnn maybe it’s that I only use my iPhone. barelfly what do you use to access The Pit?

Currently I have 5 notifications. 4 are about this thread. On my iPhone I can go back and forth from the second pic to this actual topic by clicking on anyone’s comment and then hitting the back arrow (on my phone) and I don’t loose (none dissapear) from the screen in the second pic.
Ah hah, that would explain why your notifications don’t disappear. You are essentially resetting or backtracking on your phone. Haven’t tried this yet but will next time I get more than one notification. I also use my IPhone exclusively in the Pit.
As others mention, the back arrow is the trick. Thank you for pointing that out. I’m on my iPad but always went back to notifications or opened in multiple tabs. So thanks for sharing this!

Yep, for years I’ve been flipping the filter to "Both" as a workaround, but the system doesn’t save that setting. This will be great if it’s permanent!
