Thanks for that. I have warmed up to CloudFlare a little. Especially now that the are actively helping to block AI (and other) bots.

In case you experienced the Cloudflare error screens on this site, or many others, it is now resolved.

”Cloudflare, a company that helps websites secure and manage their internet traffic, experienced issues with its global network, the company said early Tuesday, disrupting service for many websites and apps.
The company said it believed the problems were mostly resolved by around 9:30 a.m. Eastern, roughly four hours after issues were first reported. At 12:45 it said the service was “operating normally.”

Yep... The server in Seattle, where my connection is, was down this morning but didn't get resolved until aprox 11:30 a m Eastern time (8:30 a m my time). Has been working since then for me.

Yup, I experienced the Cloudflare error message as well, early this morning when I tried to log in to The Pit. I decided to let it go for a while, since I had a busy day ahead anyway.

Just getting back to The Pit now and am happy to find that all is well again.

I am looking into setting up a backup DNS server so that when (not if) CloudFlare craps out again, the domain will still resolve.

Today’s Cloudflare incident affected two of my company’s cloud based POS systems. This follows the previous outages by AWS then Azure that affected our systems. This evening another brief outage by a smaller cloud service that affected a small number of our customers.
