Notification Of Post Followed But Never Followed

I keep getting notifications that someone posted on a post that I have never selected to Follow. This happens on many different subject post topics. If something was said about this earlier I've been out camping for 10 days and have had at least 100 notifications. Thanks.

You may be following the overall channel. If you inadvertently hit the "FOLLOW" button for that channel, all posts for that channel will send you a notification.

I did check them and I did not enable the Follow selection.

I’ll be lopin along, singin a song, just a singin a song as I’m lopin along and I git me a notice that someone posted on some thread that I have a subscription of that I did not know it even existed, let alone ever searched the dad gum thing out. It is way above my pay grade, so’s I juss let things be.

Are the posts you are getting notifications for in that forum?

Ok, I just don't know how it got initiated. It all started last week when we were camping and when we got into a town I used my cell phone to log in and I had 36 notifications in one day. I never have had more than a few. I'll manually change it. Thanks !!!

Yep. I think the follow button is easy to accidentally click or touch (on mobile).

Yes I get many "posted on your subscription" that is not followed but mebe just commented on.
No worries I just click n go on.

Hey Bruce, In your profile settings there’s an option to follow any post you comment or post on. It can be turned on or off. You might have it set to “on”. I leave mine set to on.

I wish I had $1 for everything that I find myself following that I KNOW I did not click to follow, and I didn't. My my thumb did.

There is a setting that you can change. If set, you are automatically following any topic you create, post a reply, or a comment.

Ok I did that and it should solve the problem, thanks a million. It all started when I logged in on my phone the other week traveling. I must of done something.

We were remote camping and when we got to a town of course I had to log in. I think.that I will not bother next time, I got into too much trouble.
