Erroneous subscription notifications

I’m getting a number of notifications that people have posted on subscriptions that I am not following. How to fix?

You need to unfollow the topic or channel the notifications are from.

Also, be sure to disable Automatic Subscriptions

Cannot unfollow them—they’re not followed. I’ll check on automatic subscriptions.

I’m getting messages that “so and so” has posted on your subscription “ such and such”. I go to said thread and find it has not been followed.

Automatic Subscriptions have never been checked/turned on.

Exactly what notifications are you getting? It's not a subscription, it's typically an accidental touch of the green "+ FOLLOW" button top right. I've done it numerous times on my phone.

I’ve not followed any of the ones I’m getting messages on. I go to try to unfollow just in case I have, but cannot unfollow a string I’ve not followed. Guess I’m still missing something.

It could be the overall channel itself.

I sometimes accidentally subscribe to threads.

So... something is going on. I double checked your account and subscriptions. You have none. Not following any channel or topic.

But you are getting notifications. So there is a bug somewhere. I ran the process of clearing all subscriptions on your account and clearing the site cache.

Let me know if you continue to get these erroneous notices.
