Is there a way to not lose the link to comments when two or more people comment on different posts on the same thread??

Specifically regarding “what are you cooking”. I got two comments today. Selected one but can’t find the comment from someone who didn’t comment on my latest post. When you go back any other comments on that same thread are gone.

JCBBQ I agree with you! Here’s my work around: I’m 99.9% on my iPad. I hold my finger on the thread and choose “open in new window”. I do that as many times as I need. Granted, there’s a bunch of windows to close, but I don’t miss anything. Especially, what if someone is asking me a question and I miss it? I don’t want my one to think I’m blowing them off, ya know?

I am always using my laptop, so here is what I do. When I view my notifications, and I see that I have more than one in a single thread, I'll remember that. Then I'll visit one of the notifications (which, as we've pointed out, annoyingly makes all the ones for that thread as read). I then go back into notifications and filter for dismissed.



Now I can easily see the one(s) I've missed.

I do it a little differently. If I have multiple notifications I always click "Filter" and then "Both". The only downside is that I have to redo it any time I move backwards from the "Notifications" screen. BYW, this is on an IPad. It doesn’t work as well on my IPhone.

I do the same, iPad also. There might be 6 people commenting on SUWYC, you click on 1 of them, and afterwards the other 5 disappear. If you wanna read the other 5 comments, you have to do “Filter” then “Both” as you said……5 more times! This has always kinda bugged me too.

fzxdoc Clued me in on this a couple years ago: if you're on a desktop or otherwise using an actual mouse, right click on the first link then select "Open link in new window". That keeps your original window open, and thus your original notification queue, and you can repeat the process to see each individual notification.

Panhead John Hold your finger down on the notification or any hot link and you’ll get the options Huskee was describing.
