Search Bar Broken on free site

Anytime I attempt to search on the free site using my iphoneSE on safari, I get the following screen: it just zooms in and does not show the search box that I just clicked on.

Smoker_Boy not really, I threw a dart at a dartboard with numbers, which ever number I was closest, I mailed that number off to some address in the Cayman Islands for someone to contact a very specific person

I was having this trouble yesterday on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, trying to look up turkey recipes for my son while at lunch. I finally gave up and told him I would email him a link when I got home!

I'm guessing it is an IOS issue since my Android works fine. I know Ray purchased an IOS sometime back to try and replicate IOS issues in The Pitmaster Club.

This is a IOS/Safari issue. When you click the search box to input. the keyboard shows and Safari "helps" you by scrolling the page up (which causes the search box to hide). For now, just scroll the page down a bit to get the search box to show again.

I will see what can be done to fix this.

Yesterday I had a real problem searching a bacon recipe from the free site on safari, it’s the latest version and up-to date. Problem was I couldn’t search the recipes. I read that scrolling down sometimes helps but not yesterday. Being kind of desperate (two turkey legs, 3lbs of pork belly and a small pork loin I needed to cure) I dug out the laptop and was able to navigate to the pages.

I don’t cure meats very often and always refer to the basic information pages to ensure I understand correctly. I often prefer the iPad when searching for recipes. This morning it was much better, but was wondering if anything had changed?

I understand that updates can and regularly do happen but I had a small panic lol.

Update. I am going to try to get this fixed today.

The issue is that iPhone's try to "help" you by scrolling the page down to the input box when the keyboard is opened. This scrolling action causes the search box to be hidden.

If you swipe the page up just a tiny bit, the search box will display again.

I have implemented a quick fix. I changed the amount of scroll needed to hide the header (and the search box).

I tested on my iPhone and it worked for me. Please test it on your mobile devices. Specifically iPhones and iPads.

Still not working for me. I click the search button and it zooms in and the search bar disappeared. I then tried zooming out and my keyboard disappeared. I either get the search bar or the keyboard, but not both. I cleared website data and had to log back in before trying.

My apologies. I posted to soon. I have fixed this on the development site. The fix is not yet synced to the live site. I will try to get that done asap.

Hi, this has been happening to me as well
iPad Pro 11-inch v. 17.1.2

on the free side, I touch on search to reveal this



and then I touch in the search field to start typing and the screen scrolls down and there is no keyboard. This does not happen on iPhone 12 (safari) or Dell laptop (Firefox). But it did just happen on iPad using the Firefox browser. Hhmmmm
