Just in the past 2 days, I am getting a lot of alerts from Malwarebytes about websites looking for open ports on my PC while I'm on this website.
There are no other sites open.

Weird. I run Malwarebytes (on a Mac) and am not seeing anything like that. You might have something else going on. Have you run a complete scan lately?

I have been a MalwareBytes user since they first launched many years ago. The only "issue" I have had is with Dell Support demanding that I not use it while using my Norton AV or Windows Defender at the same time. There are potential conflicts in that scenario, so if you are running another AV program at the same time (and Windows Defender installs by default), that could cause issues.
Current version of MW, at least the premium edition, is 4.6.3. I'll assume you are using a version that updates itself automatically - otherwise make sure you are updated.
Since what you are experiencing is only happening with The Pit, I suggest leaving it on and opening a support ticket with MW. You can use this link to get there:

This is a very serious accusation. I will be spend a few hours checking the server for potential infections.
Are you certain that it is pitmaster.amazingribs.com that is causing the alerts? Does Malwarebytes name pitmaster.amazingribs.com specifically?

In the first place, I am not "making an accusation".
I am reporting what I saw.
Only Amazing Ribs is open on my browser.
But your question about whether MalwareBytes names Amazing Ribs is a good one, one I do not have an answer for at this time. I will see if I can go back in the history of my MWB account, or I will try to pay closer attention the next time it happens.
EDIT:
Avira or Malwarebytes is not naming Amazing Ribs specifically.
This is all I could find out at this time. I will pay closer attention next time.
Hopefully, there won't be a "next time".

Many thanks for reporting this. And I apologizes for my sounding like you specifically were making an accusation. I should not have said it like that. I meant is it something I need to take very seriously. I take any such alerts and reports serious. The server could have been hacked. I need to make sure that is not the case.
I went to the Malwarebytes site and did some digging around and found this:
Apparently the message I saw was probably related to an event by a hacker to brute force their way into my PC.
The usual method is to try to gain entry using the Remote Desktop function.
My wife said she has seen a similar message when she isn't even on the InnerWebz.
So, as far as I am concerned, these were random events.
And the fact that I was here at AR had nothing to do with it.

All good. Thanks for the update. Still, even if it is just a coincidence (AR open when you get the alert), still appreciate the post to let us know. In bygone days (before 2005) when I used the windoze, I used Malwarebytes as my primary protection. It is good. I hope it still is. I do not recall but I think it might help you find and lock down open ports.
Thanks for the update. For the record, anyone can do a port scan on any IP. I am still concerned that some exploit may have been used on AR to scan your system. I am one patch version behind and I need to get that update done asap.
