Embedded links

When I copy a hyper link and paste it into a message on the board, it shows as a hyperlink with just the url.

But I've noticed others whose links show up like this:


This is a snip but the hyperlink in these posts are functional.

What gives?

You have to click the chain link icon and paste the link into the box that pops up. I did it with the link to this thread.

Sid P Actually, you don't. I just typed the above link straight out and it formatted it. Not sure the difference.

I’ll rephrase and say that once I started using the chain I stopped having the problem Bkhuna is referring to.

That could be the missing Link. I see no links in the replies window. So, I copied and pasted a link. Here is what I got.

This is a new "feature". Called: URL preview.

It shows more than just the link. It shows the page title, description, and an image (if available).

URL Preview can be disabled globally.
